Sláinte (Slahn-sha) means “health” in Gaelic

Sláinte Pilates offers a holistic approach to the system of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates. Cultivate your core integration, pliability, strength, functional alignment, and breath awareness. With consistent and mindful practice, your brain and body work together to help you really look at your lifelong relationship with gravity.

From living a life, we all have some form of  musculoskeletal imbalances, postural habits, injuries, and the like. When facing an injury or chronic pain, your Pilates Practice adjusts to meet you right where you are. We carefully select appropriate exercises to promote healing to the part, while considering how the whole body is working.

Our goal is to improve our human experience in the one body that we will ever get to live in.

    Getting Started

Your first call to action is to look at your schedule carve some time out for your practice. Set yourself up for a good experience by being able to show up for yourself consistently. Here is a breakdown of what I offer:

    Seasonal Forestbathing Studio:

Open from late May until October.

Take a 4 minute hike up to a clearing with a natural spring where you will find four custom made raised mats. In the event of rain, we democratically decide if we are going to pop up market tents and proceed, work indoors (which is comfy for two people, a lil cozy for 3-4), or we zoom. I keep tabs on the weather and will reach out to the group and prompt a vote. At Sláinte Pilates, democracy is still alive and well ;)

    The Reformer Room:

When you book a Private Session (one person), we will work on several apparatus including the Reformer, Mat, Spine Corrector, Barrels, Magic Circle and more. We often use the resistance of springs to both challenge and assist your movement.

    Virtual Sessions:

If you aren’t in the Catskills, or you simply prefer working out from home, there is a menu of options for Virtual Sessions available year round from anywhere. If you have a Reformer in your home please select “Virtual Private Session”.  You absolutely can have a super fun and challenging session with or without apparatus.  My schedule reflects Eastern Standard Time.

    Standing Appointments:

Pilates is a cumulative practice, consistency is key. When you are able to commit to a day and time for either 5 sessions or 10 sessions consecutively, that’s called a Standing Appointment. This is how the majority of my business operates. You are basically buying that time slot for the duration of your package with the option to renew at its conclusion. You also save 10% on Packages of 5 Sessions, and 15% on Packages of 10 Sessions compared to buying single sessions.

Private Sessions are one on one training, offered year round in my home studio in Launt Hollow as well as Virtually. Every session is tailored to what your body needs that day.

A Duet Session is two people sharing a session. Offered year round Virtually or Indoors, also offered in the seasonal Forestbathing Studio.

Trios are sessions of three people.

Quartets are sessions of four people. Both are offered in the seasonal Forestbathing Studio or Virtually.

    Session Pricing:

    Private Session $100

    Package of 10 Sessions- $850

    Package of 5 Sessions- $450

    Standing Quartet Sessions:

    Package of 10 Sessions- $255

    Package of 5 Sessions- $135

Packages of 10 sessions are offered at a 15% savings and expire 90 days after purchase.

Packages of 5 sessions are offered at a 10% savings and expire 45 days after purchase.

All sessions adhere to a polite yet firm 48 hours notice cancellation policy.

Upon booking your first session you will receive the client agreement and liability waiver via email. If you have any questions please email me at adbpilates@gmail.com

    How to Book:
All booking is done via the Virtual Front Desk.

Booking Private Sessions is pretty straightforward.

Select either Virtual or Launt Hollow Private Session, select your day and time, done!

Booking Duets, Trios, and Quartets and Standing Appointments:

We work around the limitations of the booking software by using the menu selection “Calendar of Available Sessions”.  You will not be making your purchase from here, simply refer to the calendar then shoot me a quick email stating the days/times you wish to book and the names of everyone in your party. I will then create a special menu item for you and your group to purchase your sessions.

    What to wear:

Nonrestrictive workout clothes sans hardware (no zippers, buttons, etc.) as they can damage the apparatus and uncomfortably poke into your body. Super baggy clothes can get caught in the springs, and please no stabby jewelry or anything else that can be distracting from moving freely. For outdoor sessions, I provide a lovely non toxic bug and tick repellent before we walk up the hill. The trails can be soft after rainfall, please plan your footwear accordingly for a short hike on uneven ground that in some places can get a lil squishy. For indoor sessions, sticky socks or regular socks are great.

    Dog policy:

Please note that I live with an 11 year old super good girl Lab-Aussie named Caoimhe (Keeva). Baked into her DNA is a wee herding instinct which can express itself as barking as people come and go. Rest assured that she is a love muffin and once we are working, her work is done and she settles in.

During Private sessions (which are often done in the reformer room in the house) I can easily sequester her to a different part of the house. For Sessions up on the hill, she stays in the house. For this reason, please leave your fur babies at home so she can relax.

Looking forward to working with you,

    -Ann
